Cavikas was founded in May of 2014 out of our founder’s love for Argentine tango and his desire to share the gift of dance with others. He felt that Tango could make happier communities and through the gift of dance he could serve the communities he has lived in all of his life. Tango had given Avi a new life and shifted his relationships he had with himself, others, and the world around him. He desires for others to have the same opportunity to experience the same life changing powers of dance.
Avi Wingarten, our founder and instructor, listened to Argentine tango Music since he was a young child and without comprehending quite what this was, he fell in love with it. Since discovering Argentine tango, it has shaped his life. Enthralled by what Argentine tango gave him at the personal level, he made it his mission to share this wonderful dance with all. With 25 years of experience, he brings the gift of dance to communities who need it most.
